Supporting Arts and Culture
  Supporting Arts and Culture

We support opportunities that build
the infrastructure for Colorado's exceptional arts centers and cultural assets as an expression of our commitment to making our community a desirable place to live and work.

We value the importance of arts and culture in creating and sustaining a vibrant and liveable community. Arts and cultural organizations strengthen the fabric of our societies by inspiring cooperation, trust, appreciation and participation. They also serve to educate, entertain and inspire all people across generations, geography and ethnicity.

Creativity sparks imagination, expands our horizons and inspires engagement. Exposure to arts and culture enhances cognitive development in young children. Introduction to diverse cultures through the arts increases understanding and dialog. It also reminds each of us of who we are and of our own individual heritage. The arts play an important role in fostering the growth of a creative workforce and increasing civic participation. Arts and cultural organizations also have a significant economic impact and contribute to tourism.

Our grants secure and enhance the cultural offerings available to Coloradans by helping these organizations maximize the use of their resources and become more financially sound through the diversification of funding sources. By partnering with these organizations around shared goals of artistic/programmatic vitality and organizational health, we help maintain their stability and ensure access to the arts for future generations. The spiritual, intellectual and physical enrichment that the arts provide enhances the quality of life in incalculable ways.
